Singing in complete harmony

I have competition coming up here in a few weeks…not only for my chorus, but for my quartet…These 3 other ladies that I am singing with are one of the 3 most awesome women I have ever been near. We talk everyday, and if one of us is not heard from somebody else is calling…The friendship and bond that has evolved is amazing! Last night, after chorus rehearsal, we were singing in the atrium where we rehearse (such an awesome place for harmonics), and the sound that that came out was…well…indescribable! If you have ever stood in the midst of a complete whole sound, once that God himself made with our human bodies, well, you are in awe! To hear each part wrapped and be completely intertwined with the others, not being able to tell which part is which, because the tone is so complete…

I am totally excited! We less than 3 weeks away from getting on stage in front of thousands and strutting our stuff! (and let me tell you, we can) I am also scared in the middle of all of this….scared of not doing as well as I know we can. This is a strength that comes from God, and that we ourselves have to have faith enough to believe with all our hearts we will prevail. God has brought these 4 souls together for a reason…if not for the music and potential we can have, but for the long-lasting friendship we have molded…

 Psalms 3:1-3

Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous;
       it is fitting for the upright to praise him.

 2 Praise the LORD with the harp;
       make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.

 3 Sing to him a new song;
       play skillfully, and shout for joy.
